Why a descent? And why nine gates?
This program is modeled after the oldest recorded myth in human history: The Descent of Inanna. In this ancient archetype, a powerful queen must journey into the underworld. To pass through each of the seven structural gates of the deep, she is required to strip away a piece of her royal armor, her crown, and her worldly identity—until she stands completely naked and exposed to face her shadow. Only by surrendering who she was can she be resurrected into who she is truly meant to be.
